Book Review:The Power Within
As part of theblogchatter.com’s ebook carnival, I’m reviewing fellow writers’ ebooks. First up is The Power Within, by Geethica Mehra.
About the Author
“My writings are reflections of my views towards life. I believe that whatever happens only happens with a reason. And the best happens when it is not seen. Because holding on believes that there is a past; letting go knows that there is a future. My piece of work gives me a second chance that life denies.
My words help me build my character each and every day. They flow through my heart and sketch the reality on canvas. I read new articles every day and learn something new from them. And I make it a priority to write regularly. All the visuals that happen around me make a place inside my brain waiting to be penned down as beautifully as possible.
Travel along my book to explore life and its happenings through my eyes. Do share your views as they will make me learn more. And they are highly valued.”
I especially like the quote: “I believe that whatever happens only happens with a reason.”
The Power Within, a collection of twenty-six essays, centers around the theme of motivation. Each essay has touched the author personally. She begins with a short definition of the word she’d chosen, asks a question about it, then dives into how it affects or has affected her life. She gives us a series of snapshots of her life’s journey, from difficulties in school (solved by a mother’s love), her career, marriage, the decision to have children early, and her great love of writing.
Throughout her writing, the reader feels her deep relationship with her family, friends, and God above all. I found the author upbeat, focused on the good in her life, optimistic, thankful and, most of all, content. A strong woman, she juggles (her “J” word) multiple balls and knows which ones are important to her. She has a true belief in herself and is an inspiration to other women.
In Conclusion
Going into the AtoZChallenge, I did not realize my group, theblogchatter.com, headquartered in India. What a happy opportunity! I’ve learned so much (but not enough) of wonderful people who struggle with everyday problems and remain upbeat and positive.
Thank you blogchatter, and thank you Geethica for sharing your personal journey.
