About Cheryl Sterling
Cheryl Sterling is an American author of several paranormal and contemporary romance novels and short stories. Her first novel, What Do You Say to a Naked Elf? finalized in the TARA contest, sponsored by the Tampa Area Romance Authors. Leisure Books, an imprint of Dorchester Publishing, later bought and published it. In 2011, she regained the rights and self-published it.
Cheryl is a co-founder and past president of the Grand Rapids Region Writers Group in Grand Rapids, MI. She has conducted several workshops on the writing craft and co-chaired their first “I’ve Always Wanted to Write a Book” regional conference.
Cheryl also writes paranormal mysteries under the pen name, Noel Cash.
Now that she’s retired, she has spare time to read. Her favorite genres are history (lots of ideas to steal borrow), sci-fi, fantasy, paranormal, and regencies (who knew so many eligible Dukes were around?) She enjoys anything Doctor Who and quantum entanglement.
More or less on a whim, Cheryl and her family moved to Oahu, Hawaii in 2011, then to Big Island, Hawaii. In 2015, Cheryl relocated to the Phoenix area, where her son and his family live.
Her passion is learning (evident from her growing bookshelves and the size of her digital files on book marketing, SEO and improving her craft). At heart, she is a teacher.
Cheryl currently lives in Sun City, AZ, but she’s an anomaly in a city of senior citizens. She and her husband enjoy exploring the state, shopping thrift stores, and visiting family.
